Coordinator of the DECIDE project Angela Repanovici from UTBV (Romania) and Director of the Library Manolis Koukourakis from UOC (Greece) visited al-Farabi Kazakh National University as observers from EU universities of Pilot 1.
According to the plan of DECIDE project implementation, on February 3-4, 2020 al-Farabi Kazakh National University conducted classes on Module 2 and Module 4 for teaching and administrative staff of the university, librarians, students and people from other relevant organizations in the frameworks of Pilot 1.
The Module 2 and Module 4 were developed by project team of the university in collaboration with colleagues from Tajikistan and Uzbekistan. Prior to work on Modules participants of the DECIDE project attended trainings in Dresden (TUD) and Limerick (LIT). These trainings at TUD and LIT were delivered by the EU partners of the project and included: purpose, rationale and content of the DECIDE curriculum to include international Quality Standards and the requirements of international, Bologna agreement and ECTS Modular creation using the EU-TUNING system.
In Limerick training was followed by DECIDE workshops to enable all partners to explore how modules 2-8 can be designed and adapted for different target groups (University library and academic staff, National and Public Libraries etc.).
The Module 2 is elaborated for wide range of specialists working in academic, governmental, and non-governmental sectors to provide knowledge and skills in marketing theory and practice for organization of National Awareness Day in all three countries.
Module 4 is Access Liaison Officer Trainee Programme. It is targeted at all partners with inputs from all partners and the basis of the future Action Group. This training module was developed to that each educational organization will have a specialized person in social integration and anti-discrimination measures on advising and assisting students or potential students with special needs in accessing education.
Module 2 training was conducted on February 3, 2020 at the Faculty of Medicine and Health Care and gathered academic and administrative staff, including stakeholders who provide assistance in social protection of students with different types of needs. The Module was presented by Dr. Gainel Ussatayeva, who as an Acting Associate Professor of the Department of Epidemiology, Biostatistics and Evidence-based Medicine. She provided plan and purpose of the Module 2 to organize national Awareness Day, main terms, theory and ways of practical implication.
Module 4 training was conducted next day, on February 4, 2020 also at the Faculty of Medicine and Health Care by Guldana Ispambetova, lecturer from the Department of Physical Education and Sport . Her topic covered issues related to provision of physical activity to the students with special needs in the frameworks of Module 4.
